“When you look at a film by Todd Solondz, you know that only he could make it,” states producer Ted Hope. “But the question of what makes up a Todd Solondz film is constantly evolving. I think people will be very surprised when they see Storytelling. Because there are things in the film that people never expected to see from him.”

Producer Christine Vachon adds, “Storytelling is a movie that tries to push the envelope in a lot of different ways – specifically in its construction and (as usual) in the kinds of characters that Todd chooses to explore.”

“When I get involved in a project, I really hope that it will change the cultural landscape one degree, if not more,” Hope continues. “I think that we will certainly be providing people ample ammunition for good conversation with Storytelling.”

“The movie is composed of two stories about stories and storytelling. There is no narrative connection between the two, so I don’t advise looking for one. There are, however, other kinds of connections relating to the nature of storytelling itself, and how that nature can be both redemptive and exploitative,” says Todd Solondz.
