Marking their first onscreen pairing, Jennifer Lopez (Monster-in-Law, Shall We Dance) and Marc Anthony (Man on Fire, Bringing Out the Dead) star in this labor of love as the king and queen of the 1960s and 1970s salsa movement. Inspired by a true story, the film chronicles Hector Lavoe’s rise to stardom, his complex relationship with his family and the admiration of an audience deeply connected to the emotional and tumultuous lyrics of his life. The DVD features never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes footage with a revealing making-of documentary and a director and writer audio commentary.
