LOS ANGELES, CA (May 23, 2005) – Summer comes to a chilling end at New Line Home Entertainment as four films become available for the first time on DVD on August 30: the horror film Campfire Tales, the psychological thriller Nature of the Beast and the sci-fi thrillers The Hidden and The Hidden II, available for the first time as a Double Feature DVD. Campfire Tales features early performances from some of today’s rising stars including Ron Livingston (Office Space, Little Black Book), Amy Smart (The Butterfly Effect, Starsky & Hutch), James Marsden (The Notebook, X-Men 2), Christopher Masterson (TV’s Malcom in the Middle, Scary Movie 2), Jacinda Barrett (Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, Ladder 49) and Christine Taylor (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Zoolander), in a story about a group of teenagers sharing increasingly terrifying tales around a campfire. From the writer/director Victor Salva (Jeepers Creepers), Nature of the Beast stars Eric Roberts (TV’s Less than Perfect, Cecil B. Demented) and Lance Henriksen (TV’s Millennium, Aliens) in a shocking cat and mouse game orchestrated by a serial killer. The Hidden, the sci-fi thriller hit starring Kyle Maclachlan (HBO’s Sex and the City, TV’s Twin Peaks) and Michael Nouri (The Terminal, Flashdance), previously available on DVD, is now available along with its super-charged sequel on a Double Feature DVD for the first time. Campfire Tales and Nature of the Beast are available on DVD for $19.97, while The Hidden/The Hidden II Double Feature disc is marked at a $14.96 SRP. The DVD order due date is July 26. |
