Top FBI bomb expert Danny O’Neill (Pierce Brosnan) is considered a “live wire” due to his unconventional methods. Though he excels professionally, his personal life is falling apart. The recent death of his daughter has led his wife to look for comfort in the arms of Senator Frank Travers (Ron Silver), the very man O’Neil has been assigned to protect against terrorist attacks. Pressure builds as Mikhail Rashid (Ben Cross), a psychopath with a thirst for revenge, is targeting senators with a newly devised explosive that can be hidden in water.
