Critters Launches a Franchise In Critters, massive furry balls from another world with sharp teeth, an insatiable appetite and a bad attitude land in the small mid-western town of Grovers Bend, Kansas, where they bite, tear and attack everything in their path. Terrified for their lives, the local families fight against the attacking bloodthirsty monsters. It’s a losing battle until two intergalactic bounty hunters arrive, determined to blow the creatures off the planet. Critters stars Dee Wallace-Stone (ET the Extra-Terrestrial, The Frighteners), Billy Zane (Titanic), Scott Grimes (HBO’s “Band of Brothers, Mystery, Alaska), M. Emmet Walsh (Snow Dogs) and is written and directed by Stephen Herek (Life or Something Like It, 101 Dalmatians), in his feature directing debut.
