While struggling to get her stories published in Paris, Elena (Audie England, Red Shoe Diaries), a young American writer, meets Lawrence (Costas Mandylor, The Pledge, TV’s “Picket Fences”), a successful expatriate novelist. The two begin a passionate romance that ends abruptly when he must return to the United States. Left broken-hearted and penniless, Elena reluctantly accepts her publisher’s offer to write explicit stories for an anonymous collector of erotica. Her personal life begins to mirror her tales as she acts out the wild fantasies she creates on the page, going beyond pleasure to discover the Delta of Venus – a secret place of hidden desire. Meanwhile, Nazi troops prepare to invade France, threatening her already fragile situation. The DVD features R-rated and NC-17 widescreen (1.85:1) versions of the film, as well as 5.1 Surround Sound, DTS Surround Sound, Stereo Surround Sound, English subtitles, closed captions and animated menus. The DVD also includes trailers from other New Line Home Entertainment films. |
