| Los Angeles (April 14, 2003) New Line Home Entertainment today announced the DVD release of family films Father and Scout and Theodore Rex available for the first time on DVD for $19.98 on July 8. Father and Scout, about a busy city dwelling father and his attempt to make up for lost time by taking his son on a camping trip, stars Bob Saget. In Theodore Rex, starring Whoopi Goldberg, a cop and a dinosaur team up to solve a colossal crime and save the world. These films are currently available on VHS. | ||||||||||||||||||

FATHER AND SCOUT Spenser Paley (Bob Saget, TV’s “Americas Funniest Home Videos,” “Full House”) wants to show his son what a great dad he can be, and the school camping trip is the perfect opportunity. A real city slicker, Spenser is nervous about the great outdoors where his jokes come in handier than a Swiss army knife. But when the trip takes a treacherous twist, Michael (Brian Bonsall, Father Hood) discovers that his father is not only a cut-up, he’s also a cut above – and suddenly being a man takes on a whole new meaning. The DVD includes the fullscreen version of the film, English subtitles, closed captions, animated menus and trailers from other New Line Home Entertainment films. The DVD also features the “Pick That Flick” trivia game, where the user must pick the New Line family film featured in a random image. THEODORE REX The DVD includes the widescreen (1.85:1) and fullscreen version of the film, 5.1 Surround Sound-English, Stereo Surround Sound-English, English subtitles and closed captions. The DVD also features animated menus, the original theatrical trailer and trailers from other New Line Home Entertainment films.
