Los Angeles, CA (January 7, 2001) New Line Home Entertainment today announced the premiere of the action film Highway on March 26, 2002. Highway stars hot young stars Jared Leto (Requiem for a Dream, American Psycho), Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko, October Sky), and Selma Blair (Legally Blonde, Cruel Intentions). Highway will be available for rent on VHS and DVD and for sale on DVD for $24.98. Jack (Leto) is a Gen-Xer with nowhere to go until he gets caught in bed with a mobster's woman. Now, with three thugs after him, he and best pal Pilot (Gyllenhaal) hit the road to Seattle. Along the way, they encounter mysterious Cassie (Blair), who decides to hitch a ride. After outrageous chases, rave parties and a chicken ranch, they wind up in Seattle during a vigil for recently deceased Kurt Cobain. Together they end up on the wildest trip of their lives. The DVD features a widescreen and fullscreen version of the film, 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound and Stereo Surround Sound. The DVD also includes English subtitles and closed captions. |
