New Line Cinema’s highest grossing box office hit, the critically acclaimed, award-winning The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring has become nothing short of a worldwide phenomenon. Co-written and directed by British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award-winner Peter Jackson, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is based on the first volume of J.R.R. Tolkien’s long revered literary and linguistic masterpiece. Priced to own at $22.94 on VHS and $29.95 on DVD, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring two-disc DVD is presented with the enhanced picture and sound quality consumers have come to expect from New Line Home Entertainment and contains over two hours of additional material. A Hobbit-worthy cornucopia of one-of-a-kind features, the DVD includes an exclusive made-for-the-DVD ten-minute behind-the-scenes preview of The Two Towers, the second installment of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. This is the first in-depth look consumers will have of the second film of Tolkien’s acclaimed trilogy The Two Towers, due in theaters December 18, 2002.
