PROOF
Rated R for sensuality and some language · 90 minutes

Russell Crowe (Master and Commander, A Beautiful Mind) and Hugo Weaving (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Matrix Trilogy) star in this widely acclaimed and intensely original film. Proof, the debut feature from writer-director Jocelyn Moorhouse that swept the Australian Film Institute's 1991 annual awards, is the story of a blind photographer, his sexually frustrated housekeeper and his only friend – the three of whom form an erotic and psychological triangle in this dry black comedy.

The DVD includes two separate commentaries with actor Hugo Weaving and writer-director Jocelyn Moorhouse, a slideshow gallery of “Martin’s Photo Album” and the theatrical trailer. The DVD also features a widescreen (1.85:1) version of the film plus DTS, 5.1 Surround and Stereo Surround Sound, English and Spanish subtitles and closed captions.

THE RAPTURE
Rated R for strong sensuality and for some language and violence · 100 minutes

Written and directed by Michael Tolkin (writer-producer of The Player), this controversial and highly powerful drama stars Mimi Rogers (The Door in the Floor, Austin Powers International Man of Mystery) and David Duchovny (The X-Files) in a story of God, faith and redemption.

Sharon (Rogers), a telephone operator deeply unhappy in both her work and her personal life, seeks relief from her pain by engaging in frequent, anonymous sexual encounters. Then, during one of her erotic adventures, she meets Randy and unexpectedly discovers in him a man eager to transform her empty world through love. But, that isn't enough for Sharon; she wants something more – she wants divine salvation – and she believes she's found it when God sends her a vision. Sharon convinces Randy to join her in her spiritual journey, and, for a while, she experiences the bliss for which she has been longing. Then a tragedy changes everything, and Sharon discovers that the Lord may just demand more faith and strength than she can summon.

The DVD includes commentary from writer-director Michael Tolkin and actors Mimi Rogers, David Duchovny and Patrick Bauchau. A widescreen (1.85:1) version of the film with DTS, 5.1 Surround and Stereo Surround Sound is also featured on the DVD along with the original theatrical trailer, English and Spanish subtitles and closed captions.

EVEN COWGIRLS GET THE BLUES
Rated R for sexuality and some language · 96 minutes

From the director of Elephant, Good Will Hunting and To Die For comes a star-studded comedy based on the best-selling novel by Tom Robbins. Uma Thurman (Kill Bill) stars as Sissy Hankshaw, a woman who leaves New York behind as she hitchhikes her way to the lush pastures of a midwestern ranch to model for feminine hygiene advertisements. When she arrives at the beauty-ranch, Sissy is introduced to a band of free-living, free-loving cowgirls rebelling against their drag queen employer and ranch owner, The Countess (John Hurt; The Elephant Man, Midnight Express). Joining the cowgirls in their collective struggle against exploitation, Sissy not only finds liberating comradeship, she also finds romantic companionship. Co-starring in this eccentric adventure are Lorraine Bracco (HBO’s The Soprano’s), Keanu Reeves (The Matrix Trilogy), Crispin Glover (Willard, Charlies Angels: Full Throttle), Angie Dickinson (Dressed to Kill), Sean Young (No Way Out, Blade Runner), Heather Graham (Boogie Nights), and Roseanne (Home on the Range).

The DVD includes a widescreen (1.85:1) version of the film with DTS, 5.1 Surround and Stereo Surround Sound. The disc also features the theatrical trailer, English and Spanish subtitles and closed captions.
