Los Angeles (June 2, 2003) New Line Home Entertainment today announced the DVD and VHS release of the first true reality movie, The Real Cancun. When 16 college students spent one week in Cancun with cameras on them 24 hours a day, something was bound to happen – and it did! With no scripts and no rules, The Real Cancun takes audiences on a vacation unlike any other. The Real Cancun will be available to rent or to own on VHS for $22.99 or DVD for $26.97 on July 1. The DVD features over one hour of extra material including deleted scenes and “cast insights” that show the cast members discussing their recollections of the weeks events often with comic results as their perceptions of events and each other frequently contradict reality. Highlights from the theatrical premiere are also included that show cast member reactions before and after they see the completed film for the first time. The DVD features a widescreen (1.78:1) version of the film with 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound, 2.0 Stereo Surround Sound, English Subtitles and Closed Captions along with the theatrical trailer and television spots. |
