Prison Song
Q-Tip (TV’s “Disappearing Acts”, Poetic Justice) and Mary J. Blige star in this dramatic story of a young man’s fight against an unfair justice system and his struggle to escape life in the ghetto. Inspired by his hard-working mom and her live-in companion Cee, Elijah refuses to hang out with troublemakers. But when Cee is arrested, Elijah begins to question whether hard work means anything when you come from the wrong side of the tracks. After a fight with a bully results in the death of a thug, Elijah lands in prison, where he learns to draw to express himself and where he comes face to face with his past, present and what he wants his future to be.

Terry (Martin Lawrence, Black Night, Blue Streak) is an up-and-coming comedian who will do just about anything for the all-important late spot at Dukie's Comedy Club. Anything includes reluctantly engaging in romantic interludes with the club owner's wife, all the while wanting to be with Aretha, the club's queen of comedy who only has eyes for someone else.
